Come along to this social and informative workshop and make your own ollas! Ollas (pronounced “oy-yahs”) are bottle shaped unglazed terracotta pots that are buried in the ground with the neck exposed above the soil surface. Filled with water these help with sub-surface irrigation of plants.
Learn about this ancient irrigation method, thought to have been developed over 4000 years ago!
In this workshop we will demonstrate the working properties of ollas learn how to make your own out of simple garden centre/recycled household objects.
Taking inspiration from the garden, we will decorate and print on your new olla.
